I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt. Psalm 119:11 MSG

Following is shared by a public Christian figure…

“I get nervous traveling alone, because I get recognized a lot and sometimes it can feel weird having people looking at me, take pics of me, and talking about me like I can’t hear. Yesterday I was very aware of the man in front of me who kept looking back at me. And then he did the classic pull his phone out and hold it up real high and zoom in to take a selfie of me as if I couldn’t see it. Very awkward moment. I thought he was just doing that because he recognized me. Not the first time! When the flight ended he walked up to me and said, ‘I fly all the time. I’ve seen a lot on airplanes, but I have never seen anyone studying a Bible. I had to get a picture. God bless you’ Wow. I felt bad for assuming what he was doing, but was amazed to hear the reason. He had no idea “who I was.” He was just amazed that a Bible was being read and underlined out in the open. It made me sad that this man who travels all the time had never seen that before and that the Bible was shocking enough to whip out his phone and get a picture of someone reading. I bring my Bible anywhere I would bring my purse. It reminds me of who I am, my purpose and how to love people. I share this because Judges 2:10 says, ‘And there arose another generation after them who did not know The Lord or the work that He had done for Israel.’ That seems crazy! But when I look around I’m starting to see this very thing happening all around me today.”

The Bible is powerful, magnificent, full of words of wisdom. It points us to Father. It reveals His heart for mankind. We NEED The Bible!

The verse above describes one of the many incredible things about The Bible. If we read The Bible, think about it and memorize it, we won’t “sin ourselves into bankruptcy.

There is coming a day soon that, even in the USA, it will not be kosher to read The Bible. Persecution, real persecution is coming.
